Happy 2014!

I've been out of town visiting family and friends for the past few weeks, so I haven't been able to update at all! Here is my link-up with Farley for Currently: January.

Listening: I always seem to have a TV show I'm powering through on Netflix. Recently it's been "The League". It's hilarious!

Loving: Once we get back to NC tomorrow, my boyfriend and I are planning a whole month without processed foods. The hardest part will be giving up my beloved Diet Pepsi! I went gluten-free because of health reasons in August and I'm looking forward to all of the whole, healthy foods to make me feel even better! The idea for this came from: http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/. If you're interested, check out the blog!

Thinking: I've been visiting family and friends in Ohio and Michigan this break, and I'm driving back to North Carolina tomorrow.I always get anxious before long drives. I'm excited to be back home, but will miss everyone until I visit again this summer.

Wanting: I've made a few things for TpT this year, but I need to step it up a bit. My hope is that blogging will help boost my motivation and creativity.

Needing: I spent very little time on schoolwork this break, and now I'm stuck with a pile of papers to grade and lots of lessons to plan. Good thing I have workdays on Monday and Tuesday!

Memory: Yesterday, my Spartans won the 100th Rose Bowl game. I graduated from Michigan State a few years ago and have a ton of Green and White pride. Needless to say, this victory was a super exciting one!

Another neat project I'm taking on this year is a 365project. I'll take one picture each day for the next year. I'm excited to better capture the exciting memories I'll make this year. If you want to see what's going on, follow me on Instagram: @ayscueaquestion :)

  1. I am a fellow North Carolina teacher and I'm so happy to find your blog! It sounds like we have a lot in common. I had a terrible addiction to Diet Coke which I finally gave up for good this fall. I love the 100 Days of Real Food blog and I've been working on reducing the processed food I eat, though I haven't gotten there totally. You are awesome for committing to that! Good luck!

  2. That's what I did with my break too! oops? I'm spending all day today catching up on lesson plans, grading, and the pile of projects I wanted to do to get my classroom more *me*.
And I'm actually really interested to see how your month of no-processed foods goes. You should keep us updated! :)
Yay for teams winning bowls.. my team (UCF) won the fiesta bowl on the 1st, so I understand that pride!

ps, I need to go stalk your blog to see how you incorporated Daily 5 in your class! I really think my kiddos will benefit from it, but it seems no one in my school uses it yet!
